I finished chemo last December, and it was April when I decided no more hats. I felt it was still way too short for public, but everyone cheered me on, so I did it. It seemed that after that, it grew in quite fast and I was needing hair cuts and trims. I always had very straight hair and was hoping for curls, but didn't get any. It came in the color (or should I say colors) of a squirrel --- shades of gray and brown. It was so soft and fuzzy...until it got to about 1/2 inch, then it began to form curlicues. You'll love it.
